- Arrival to Madrid
- 7:30 - 9:30 Cocktail at Kreisler Gallery, Hermosilla 8. All participants, including spouses and American Club of Madrid Members are invited.
- 9:45 - 11:30 Tapas at El Piemento Verde, Lagasca 46.

Conference at James Joyce, Alcala 59
Co-chaired by Helen Bannigan and Bill Sharo
- 9:30 - 9:45 Opening of conference, short overview of event schedule and activities.
- 9:45 - 10:00 Start of meeting - Presentation of conference agenda (Bil Sharo and Helen Bannigan).
- 10:00 - 10:15 Review and approval of 2009 conference minutes (Jerry Cave).
- 10:15 - 11:00 Short introduction of AAC participants and their clubs.
- 11:00 - 11:15 Break - coffee, tea, juice, water & pastries available.
- 11:15 - 11:30 Update on current official status of the AAC (Bill Sharo).
- 11:30 - 1:30 Round-table discussion of current and future role and benefits of the AAC for member clubs (and their members).
- 1:30 - 2:30 Lunch.
- 2:30 - 3:30 Continuation of round-table discussion.
- 3:30 - 3:45 Website presentation and update (Tara Shain)
- 3:45 - 4:00 Review of current by-laws with any adoptions or changes needed (Victor Horcasitas)
- 4:00 - 4:15 Break.
- 4:15 - 4:30 Voting of board members for new terms.
- 4:30 - 5:00 Possible host and location of of next conference in 2011.
- 5:00 - 5:30 Wrap up and close of conference & determine if there is a need to continue meeting on the morning of October 2.
- 5:30 - 8:00 Free time
- 8:00 - 2:30 Annual Columbus Day Gala Dinner, Hotel Intercontinental, Paseo de la Castellana 49, Madrid. Evening includes a discovery cocktail, 3 course meal, open bar, Marine Corps Color Honor Guard presentation, raffle, live music, dancing.

- 11:30 - 1:30 Possible conference meetings & coffee at the Hotel Intercontinental.
- 1:30 - 3:30 Free time.
- 3:30 - 6:00 Sightseeing in Madrid on a double decker bus.
- 6:00 - 8:00 Walking tour of Madrid.
- 8:00 - 10:00 Paella dinner at Champa Gala, Moratin 22.
